Chinese Painting Jasper IV Necklace
One-Of-A-Kind
"There are a number of Chinese Jasper stones that can vary quite a bit in color and pattern: China Artistic Jasper; China Picture Stone; Chinese Painting Jasper, et cetera. And what makes it more confusing is that many dealers in stones mis-identify their products so the problem is compounded. To circumvent that I've tried to separate my work into 4 classifications by Roman numerals I - IV. I hope this helps."
These are really neat with the complication of the pattern and the addition of shades of yellow-gold and a wine-red. The stones used in the strand they're positioned in are alternating rondelles of plain picture stone and black onyx. In the photos the picture stone appears to not match very well, but that's a misrepresentation; in the flesh, so to speak, they are identical in color. Finished with a sterling silver 'S' hook and chain.
