Hand carved from buffalo bone and measuring 2 7/8 by 1 3/8 inches, the pendant symbolizes the relationship between the two and their importance to the Native American peoples who perceived them as ancestors. The pendant hangs from a strand of river stones with spacers of the Red Pipestone used for ceremonial purposes. Finished with a sterling silver 'J' hook clasp.
